All your photos seem to have a cool vibe/contrast to them that i really dig. You keep getting better.

Fan Mail: One afternoon, practically asleep on the couch while watching Scooby Doo with my boys, a familiar sound woke me up. Could that be the Muffs? Didn’t a friend burn me a CD of theirs about 8 years ago? I found the CD (Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow) and played in non-stop for about 6 months. Because it was a homemade copy (sorry) I didn’t have any liner notes to digest so I went online. Kim Shattuck? From the Pandoras? I was so into “Stop Pretending” back in the day that I wore white lipstick and flat-ironed my curly hair straight and groovy. Roy MacDonald? From the best Redd Kross line-up ever? Turned out the Muffs are my Supergroup. Years ago I was a punk DJ who wore mini skirts and crazy tights. Today I still like to believe I am cool but can be mostly found in Capri pants, and have shifted a portion of my enthusiasm for music to home décor. Which leads me to my next Shuttuck-siting. One evening, practically asleep while watching a Top 35 Tips/Design on a Dime countdown I think I see an excited Kim Shattuck reacting to a room re-do. Again, I Google. It is! So, Kim, this is a fan letter from someone who has sometimes unknowingly been following your career for years! Love your songs and you have the best scream in the biz. Rock on and enjoy your Midcentury Mod office! Xo Elyse
